PIC AFRICA
Our approach is to use a functional 4 feet Robotics arm to get the students attention, stir their imaginations and inspire them. We want to take Artificial Intelligence and Robotics closer to the students for them to interact with and get inspired. By introducing Artificial Intelligence and Robotics education to more students, it will equip the next generation with the skills needed to thrive in the 21st century opening doors for inclusiveness in Industry 4.0. With this, we aim to engage girls who will be the future leaders in STEM related fields. Our mission is to use PIC AFRICA as mechanism for continued participation in technology education, SPACE SCIENCE, also raising future women in Tech.
>>> Enhancing digital literacy and technical skills
The project has made significant progress in achieving its objectives, with measurable improvements in AI literacy, robotics skills, and ethical AI awareness among girls and women that participated.
Over 2,000 girls and educators have received AI and robotics training. Pre- and post-training assessments show a 60 percent increase in AI knowledge and practical application skills among learners. Educators report greater confidence in integrating AI concepts into their teaching, with 75 percent incorporating AI ethics discussions into their lessons.
